Pickleball

10:00 am Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, drop-in

Pickle-ball® is traditionally played on a badminton-sized court with special Pickle-ball® paddles, made of wood or high-tech aerospace materials. The ball used is similar to a wiffle ball, but slightly smaller. The lower net and wiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to test their mettle.

the Game

In addition to the modified net and gear, there are several key rules in Pickle-ball® that help make the game more accessible. In tennis, and many net sports, games are often won and lost by the power of the serve. In Pickle-ball®, the ball must bounce once on each side before volleys are allowed. This opens the game to more players and extends play for added fun.

Tennis

8:00 am Monday - Saturday, drop-in

Forest Lake Estates has two courts opene to all residents.
Presently, we have what we call "Round Robin" from 8 a.m - 10 a.m. Monday - Saturday. Round Robin is where players fill the courts. As a game ends, the server comes out and the next player on the bench comes in to play.  It is an excellent way to meet new people and make new friends, as well as hone your tennis skills. All skill levels are encouraged to participate. You will find FLE tennis players friendly and helpful in achieving your tennis goals. If there is enough interest shown, we will be scheduling regular tennis matches. While sitting on the bench waiting for your turn, you will find that we are a "chatty" bunch and most likely you will come away making a new friend or two! Be sure to check us out!!
